Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: After a recent cold spell, Odisha is set to experience a rise in nighttime temperatures, offering some relief to residents. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature is expected to increase by 2-4 degrees Celsius over the next four days.

The regional weather office has also forecasted a dry spell for the next six days, with no rainfall expected. The ongoing cold wave conditions are anticipated to subside, and the weather will remain predominantly dry across the state.

On Thursday, the state recorded some of its lowest temperatures in recent days. Jharsuguda and G Udayagiri both reported a minimum temperature of 5.4°C, making them the coldest places in the state. Phulbani and Daringbadi followed closely, with temperatures recorded at 8.5°C. Cuttack and Bhubaneswar were relatively warmer, with temperatures recorded at 13.2°C and 14.3°C, respectively.

Despite the rise in temperatures, the IMD has issued a cautionary advisory for dense fog in certain districts. The weather department warned of low visibility due to fog in Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Kalahandi districts, particularly on Saturday morning and night.

The rising temperatures and dry weather conditions are expected to bring some respite to residents after the chilly weather. However, the foggy conditions in certain districts may affect transportation and visibility, and travelers are advised to exercise caution.
