New Delhi , Aril 29: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress of circulating a “deep fake and morphed” video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to disrupt the election process.
A delegation led by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI) demanding strict action against the opposition party.
According to Vaishnaw, the Congress aims to create confusion among the public by sharing deep fake messages from its official handles. Additionally, the BJP has raised concerns over Trinamool Congress’ actions in West Bengal, where violence has become an electoral tool.
. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has also been summoned by the Delhi Police in connection with the doctored video of Amit Shah.
The police are investigating the origin of the video and questioning individuals who posted it1. The matter remains under investigation as authorities seek to determine the source and intent behind the manipulated video
