Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum daytime temperature of 32.3 degrees Celsius, indicating a rise in heat across the state. Day temperatures remained above 30 degrees Celsius at 19 locations, of which seven places reported temperatures exceeding 31 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday, Jharsuguda and Paradeep registered the highest daytime temperatures at 31.4°C each. This was followed by Bhadrak and Paralakhemundi at 31.2°C, Angul at 31.1°C, Jagatsinghpur at 31°C, Sambalpur at 30.8°C, and Puri at 30.7°C.

Meanwhile, night temperatures have also shown a noticeable increase. Over the last four days, minimum temperatures have risen by about 3 degrees Celsius in coastal areas and up to 7 degrees Celsius in interior regions of the state.

On Tuesday night, G. Udayagiri recorded a low of 5.8°C, Semiliguda 7.6°C, and Phulbani 9°C. The Meteorological Department has forecast no major change in night temperatures over the next four days.

Additionally, the weather office has predicted light to moderate fog at several places across the state until the morning of the 26th.
