Bhubaneswar, April 22: The Sattvic Soul Foundation, led by founder Satyabrata Samal, joined forces with over 100 volunteers for a special Earth Day event at Jhumuka Dam, in partnership with organizations like Unicef, YOUTH 4 WATER PLUS, Eco Saathi, Life, EARTHDSY.ORG, Recycle Pay, Atmashakti Truste, Young Eagle, Mango Hotel, and Roundtable.

This mega plogging initiative near the dam blended the essence of both environmental stewardship and Earth Day celebrations. Participants not only engaged in physical activity but also contributed to environmental preservation by gathering litter along the route. Focusing efforts around the dam area helped prevent trash from polluting water bodies and harming aquatic life. Witnessing the tangible impact of their actions spurred participants to continue making eco-conscious choices in their daily routines.

After the plogging session, volunteers diligently sorted the collected waste, recognizing the importance of proper waste segregation in maximizing cleanup effectiveness. This practice ensures that materials are managed in a manner that minimizes environmental harm, encourages resource conservation, and nurtures a sustainable ethos.
