Bhubaneswar, April 16: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a mixed weather spell for Odisha, with thunderstorms and rainfall expected in coastal districts like Balasore, Bhadrak, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Koraput, and Nabarangapur, while western regions such as Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, and Balangir may face extreme heat reaching 40–41°C.
Looking ahead, the monsoon is predicted to be normal in Odisha, with higher rainfall in June.
Coastal and northern Odisha may see normal to slightly below-normal rainfall in July and August, while southern Odisha is likely to receive good showers in September.
