Puri, Jan 17: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated the Shrimandir Parikrama Prakalpa. The newly built ‘Shree Setu’ is Odisha's first trumpet bridge in the project.
It is a 2.8-kilometre bypass stretch in the city which will lead people coming in from Bhubaneswar and Brahmagiri directly to a multi-level parking spot by reducing visitors’ travel time by up to an hour avoiding the city traffic.
The bow-shaped bridge connects four lanes of roads and has been built on 37 acres of land.
The Shree Setu is designed for traffic management and a good experience for tourists.
Shree Mandir Parikrama Prakalpa is a massive peripheral development project around the 12th century Shrine.
The project includes parking areas, Shree Setu, Shree Danda, pilgrimage centre, restroom facilities, cloakrooms, toilets and other amenities for visitors in and around the Jagannath temple.
