Sambalpur, Nov 10: In a tragic incident on the Sambalpur-Cuttack National Highway-55, a passenger bus collided with a trawler truck near Luhapanka Chhak in Redhakhol, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to 10 others. The bus conductor, who was seated next to the driver, was driven out from the vehicle and died on the spot.

The passenger bus, which was traveling from Bhubaneswar to Sambalpur with 34 people onboard, was involved in the crash with the trawler truck. The impact of the collision threw the conductor out of the bus, causing fatal injuries.

Upon receiving the distress call, Redhakhol police quickly arrived at the scene and provided assistance to the injured, transporting them to the Redhakhol Community Health Centre (CHC) for medical treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
