Bhubaneswar, Nov 3: In a major development in the Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam scam, the Crime Branch has arrested Surendra Nayak, owner of Silicon Tech, from Lumbini Vihar in Bhubaneswar.

Sources said the Crime Branch is also intensifying its probe into the case and has been interrogating the alleged mastermind Shankar Prusty. On Sunday, investigators conducted a face-to-face interrogation between Shankar Prusty and Muna, another key accused in the case. Both were grilled extensively about their involvement in the scam.

Officials revealed that the questioning has yielded several crucial leads for the ongoing investigation. The Crime Branch is likely to produce Shankar Prusty in court today to seek his remand for further interrogation.
