Bhubaneswar, Feb 4: On the occasion of the World Odia Language Conference, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday launched a book titled “Language Law in Legislative Assembly”.
It is worth mentioning that that the books contains all the details about the discussion on the proposed language law in 1948, passing of the law in 1954 and the its amendment in Odisha Assembly by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in 2018.
Speaking on this occasion, the Patnaik said, "We are committed towards improving the language."
He said that efforts are being made for the protection of Odia language and to create new possibilities in this field for the next generation with the application of scientific knowledge.
Expressing hope, Patnaik said by this, all the linguistic regions will be united in one formula and will participate in the development of Odisha.
The book is edited by Shalve Mahratha, the founder of the Bhashak Movement, and published by Shadsparsh Publishing House.
