Bhubaneswar, Feb 2: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated the ‘Akshar Bhoomi’ on the premises of Kalamandal in Bhubaneswar.
The ‘Akshar Bhoomi’ has been set up to make the first World Odia Language Conference, more magnificent, which is going to begin tomorrow at the Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.
To commemorate the first World Odia Language Conference, the Akshar Bhoomi has been built in Khondalite stone as a unique display of Odisha art and sculpture.
While unveiling the ‘Akshar Bhoomi’, the Chief Minister said that the Akshar Bhoomi decorated with the Odia alphabets that will keep our love for language alive.
Patnaik expressed hope that Akshar Bhoomi will continue to inspire future generations about our great heritage and the glory of the classical Odia language.
Culture Minister Ashwini Patra, MLA Anant Narayan Jena, MLA Sushant Rout,BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, Principal Adviser of CMO R Balakrishnan, Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Principal Secretary of I&PR Department Sanjay Singh and Culture Secretary Sujata Rout Kartikeya were present on the occasion.
