Bhubaneswar, October 16, 2025: NITI Aayog, the Government of Odisha, and ISEG Foundation have signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) to accelerate Odisha's clean energy transition. The agreement, signed in Bhubaneswar, sets the stage for a strategic partnership to develop a cost-effective Energy Transition Plan aligned with Odisha's Viksit Odisha 2036 and 2047 goals.

The collaboration will leverage NITI Aayog’s ASSET Platform to craft energy transition strategies, promote sustainable energy generation, and enhance the power sector’s accessibility and resilience. It will also focus on integrating advanced technologies, mobilizing climate finance, and building institutional capacity.

Key objectives include developing a Strategic Roadmap, promoting cleaner energy, and strengthening energy systems. NITI Aayog will provide strategic guidance, the Odisha government will ensure ground-level execution, and ISEG Foundation will offer technical expertise. Oversight will be managed by a Central Oversight Committee and a State Steering Committee, ensuring effective progress and coordination.
