Bhubaneswar, June 3: Odisha CM Mohan Majhi's elder brother, Dinabandhu Majhi, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

According to reports, Dinabandhu Majhi complained of severe chest pain and was immediately rushed Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The sudden demise has cast a shadow of grief over the Chief Minister’s family. The development comes at a time when Chief Minister Mohan Majhi is scheduled to attend the inaugural session of the BRICS Disaster Risk Reduction Meeting in Puri as the chief guest.

Dinabandhu Majhi had been residing at a government residential quarter in the Lower PMG area of Bhubaneswar. His mortal remains have been kept at the residence, where relatives, well-wishers and visitors are expected to pay their last respects.
