Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: Chief Minister Mohan Charam Majhi on Thursday felicitated Mangala Muduli, a tribal student of Bandaghati in Odisha’s Malkangiri district, who has successfully cleared the prestigious National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and is now set to enroll at MKCG Medical College in Berhampur.
Wishing best for his bright future, the CM also declared that the state government would bear the educational expenses of Mangala.
Mangala, son of Hadi and Mangali Muduli of Badbel under Mudulipada panchayat in Malkangiri district, driven by a desire to transform his community and improve his family's future. The loss of villagers due to medical negligence has deeply affected him since childhood.
After completing his schooling at Government Boys’ High School, Mangala achieved excellent results in his Plus II board examinations at Mathili Baladiaguda College. His journey to becoming a doctor was significantly supported by his science teacher, Utkal Keshari Das, who recognized Mangala’s potential and inspired him to pursue his dream. Das's encouragement and guidance were instrumental in helping Mangala overcome challenges and stay focused on his goal.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Minister Nityananda Ganda, MLAs Narasinga Madkami, Gouri Shankar Majhi, Irasis Acharya, and Director of ST & SC Development, Indumani Tripathy, among others.
Worth mentioning, former Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik also took to his X handle to congratulate Mangala Muduli and wrote: “Strong will power and hard work pave the way for success. Mangala Muduli of Mudulipada Banda Ghati in Malkangiri District is a shining example of this. His determination has paved the way for him to study medicine. This achievement of Mangala is a source of inspiration for all. Wishing him a bright future.”
