CM Mohan Majhi announces additional ₹50 Crore for Maa Tarini Temple development

Majhi, on a two-day tour of his home district, pledged to seek national status for the famous shrine from the Central government. He made the announcement after offering prayers at the Maa Tarini temple.

"Our government is committed in promoting and developing Maa Tarini peeth at a national level," Majhi stated. "The renovation of the shrine was already underway with ₹50 crore sanctioned by the previous government. After my visit, I realized that the fund was insufficient. Therefore, I announced an additional ₹50 crore for the ongoing project. The development and beautification project will now be carried out at a total cost of ₹100 crore."

The Chief Minister also held a massive roadshow in Ghatagaon, marking his first visit to his home district since being sworn in as Chief Minister.

Today, Majhi will visit his ancestral home in Raikala village, where he will have lunch and interact with villagers before returning to Bhubaneswar in the afternoon.
