Bhubaneswar, May 22: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday will embark on a visit to Jajpur district, where he is scheduled to attend a grand public gathering in Kalinga Nagar. During the event, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stones for 12 key projects and inaugurate 4 others in both Kalinga Nagar and Jajpur district.

The projects are part of a larger development initiative, with a total investment of 1.15 crore earmarked for the district. Notably, Tata Steel has committed to an investment of 63,000 crore, which is expected to generate over 35,000 new employment opportunities in the region.

In light of the high-profile nature of the event, security measures have been heightened, with a significant police presence deployed at the Kalinga Nagar venue to ensure smooth proceedings.

The event will also see the participation of key political figures, including Minister of Cooperation, Handloom, and Handicrafts, Pradeep Bal Samanth; Minister of Industry, Skill Development, and Vocational Education, Sampad Chandra Swain; Member of Parliament Dr. Rabindra Narayan Behera; along with local leaders and district administration officials.
