Bhubaneswar, February 18:Odisha's Chief Secretary, Anu Garg, has directed the District Collectors to ensure the timely completion of pending projects across the state. During a virtual meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of focusing on ongoing projects within their districts and expediting any delayed work.

The meeting aimed to assess the progress of various government-led developmental schemes being implemented at the district level. It covered initiatives funded through local area development schemes, including MLA and MP funds, the "Chief Minister’s Independent Assistance" scheme, and other related programs.

Key points discussed during the meeting included the status of financial approvals and the need to prioritize unfinished projects. The Chief Secretary urged the Collectors to fast-track projects that are yet to begin and to ensure that ongoing ones meet their deadlines.

Concerns about minor minerals were also addressed. On the topic of excise facilities, district collectors were tasked with identifying suitable locations for excise offices, mobile units, and range offices within their jurisdictions.
