Cuttack, Jan 29: In a tragic incident, a class-10 student sustained severe injuries on his neck after being attacked by some unidentified miscreants in Athagarh of Odisha’s Cuttack district.
The victim has been identified as Suryanarayan Das, son of one Mahendra Das of Udaypur village under Athagarh police limits in the district.
The incident occurred while the minor boy was on his way to home from tuition. Two bike-borne masked miscreants attacked him with a knife and fled from the spot before the locals could catch them. However, Satyaranjan was rescued and rushed to Athagarh hospital.
A complaint in this regard has been lodged with Athagarh police.
Based on the complaint, police have started an investigation to elicit the exact reason behind the incident.
