Civic bodies stage dharna over roof collapse in Balangir Samaleswari temple

Balangir, Oct 22: Civic bodies have staged a dharna before the Balangir Samaleswari temple on Friday over its roof- collapse. Activists of various organizations staged the demonstration, aggrieved over the negligence of the Endowment Authorities and Balangir district administration in the afternoon. {"id":143724,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} According to the protesters, the century-old Samaleswari temple has been managed by the Endowment authorities. However, the temple is going unsafe due to lack of care and maintenance. If the roof would have been chipped up in time the mishap could have been averted, alleged locals.
