Cuttack, Aug 22: The Odisha Vigilance department has initiated extensive searches at five locations in Cuttack district linked to Kishore Kumar Sahani, a Senior Assistant at the City Hospital under the Chief District Medical Officer’s office.
Sahani is accused of embezzling over ₹1.24 crore in government funds and accumulating assets that are disproportionate to his known income sources.
A dedicated team, including 9 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 10 Inspectors, 7 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and supporting staff, carried out the coordinated searches. The searches, authorized by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, are focused on gathering evidence of the illicit accumulation of wealth, including immovable properties and suspicious financial transactions.
The locations being searched are as follows:
A three-storey residential property at Jobra Nuasahi, Cuttack, owned by Sahani.
Another building and poultry farm at Palasia, Choudwar, Cuttack.
Sahani’s office room at the Chief District Medical Officer’s office in Cuttack.
The house of Sahani’s in-laws at Deula Sahi, Tulsipur, Cuttack.
Sahani’s paternal residence at Uttarakula, Kishorenagar police station area.
