Bhawanipatna, April 10: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra along with Additional Chief Secretary Health and Family Welfare P. K Mohapatra visited Kalahandi district today. They visited district Covid hospital and looked into the treatment facility, availability of medicines, beds, ICUs and other facilities there. The Chief Secretary also reviewed preparedness of the district for containing spread of the second surge of Covid; and gave necessary directions for enforcement of Covid appropriate behaviour, increasing the RTPCR test, minimum 7 days isolation of the people coming from outside. The Chief Secretary after reviewing the situation said that emphasis will be given on testing and early detection of the deadly virus. “Concerned officials have been directed to come up with adequate arrangement to combat the pandemic. An advanced ambulance will also be procured and we are hopeful of containing the pandemic,” said Mahapatra.
