Puri, May 21: The Chhatisha Nijog meeting is set to take place today at 5 pm at Niladri Bhakta Nivas in Puri, with preparations for the upcoming Rath Yatra festival topping the agenda. The meeting will be chaired by the Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
Key discussions will include finalising the schedule and rituals associated with the world-famous Rath Yatra, ensuring smooth coordination of major events such as Snana Purnima, Hati Besha, Gundicha Yatra, Suna Besha, and Niladri Bije. Special focus will be given to water arrangements for Snana Purnima and the seamless execution of the Hati Besha ritual.
The meeting will see the participation of Chhatisha Nijog members, the District Collector, the Superintendent of Police (SP), senior officials, and other key stakeholders involved in the temple’s administration and festival management.
The gathering aims to ensure that all arrangements are thoroughly planned and executed to uphold the sanctity and grandeur of the revered Rath Yatra.
