Puri, Aug 23: As Chandrayaan 3 is all set to make a soft landing on Moon's South Pole today evening, students of renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand art at Puri beach in Odisha and wished Chandrayaan-3 "All the best”.
“ALL THE BEST #Chandrayan3 My students created a sand art on #Chandrayaan 3 with the message Jai Ho @isro, at Puri beach in Odisha,” he wrote, sharing the picture.
The Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) third lunar exploration mission, Chandrayaan-3, is set to land today.
Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-on mission to Chandrayaan-2 to demonstrate end-to-end capability in safe landing and roving on the lunar surface. It consists of Lander and Rover configurations.
Chandrayaan-3 will land at around 6:04 pm. This successful mission will make India the fourth nation to land on the moon.
So far, Sudarsan has participated in more than 65 international sand art competitions and festivals in the world and won many prizes for the country.
