Bhubaneswar, August 27: The Central University of Odisha (CUO) will celebrate its 18th Foundation Day on August 29 at its Sunabeda Campus.

Prof. Hirendra Nath Ghosh, Director, National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Gobardhan Panika, Padma Shri Awardee, will attend as the Guest of Honour. The programme will be chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Shasany, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Odisha.

The CUO has articulated a forward-looking vision to emerge as a vibrant centre of academic excellence, research and innovation while maintaining its distinctive connection with the natural, cultural and tribal heritage of the region.

As CUO enters its 18th year, the Foundation Day celebration will mark both a proud reflection on its achievements and a renewed commitment to the future. The University looks forward to advancing further in education, research, innovation and service to society and contributing meaningfully to the development of Odisha and the nation.
