In a post on X, Majhi expressed his admiration for the team's exceptional performance, stating, “The energy at Barabati Stadium was electric tonight, with cricket that united the entire nation in celebration.” He commended the players' passion and sportsmanship, calling it a proud moment for both Odisha and India.

The Chief Minister also acknowledged the well-organized event, praising the efforts of the administration, sports bodies, and volunteers in making the match a seamless and memorable experience for everyone present.

India’s victory was highlighted by Hardik Pandya’s explosive 59 runs off 28 balls, while Jasprit Bumrah achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming only the second Indian cricketer to claim 100 T20I wickets.
