Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: Popular Odia playback singer Humane Sagar, who has been battling for his life at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar, has shown some improvement, according to the latest health update released by hospital authorities on Monday.

Doctors reported that Sagar is now responding to basic stimuli, such as simple commands, and is able to move his eyes and nod his head. This has brought a glimmer of hope to his fans and well-wishers who have been praying for his recovery.

The singer, who was admitted to AIIMS on November 14, is suffering from acute chronic liver failure, multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, and bilateral pneumonia. Despite being on ventilator support, his condition is being closely monitored by a team of specialists, including Dr. Srikant Behera, an ECMO expert.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed concern over Sagar’s health and assured the singer’s family that all possible measures are being taken to support his recovery. Opposition leader Naveen Patnaik has also extended his prayers for Sagar’s swift healing.

Fans and music lovers across the state are holding on to hope, praying for the singer’s quick recovery so he can soon return to his music and the hearts of his audience.
