Dhenkanal, Nov 8: In a furious road mishap in Dhenkanal on Saturday, headon collision of an OSRTC bus with a truck has been fatal for at least 4 passengers onboard.

The incident took place at Rangathali road under the Parjang police in the wee hours.

According to reports, the state-run OSRTC bus was leaving for Rourkela late night on Friday while it collided with a speeding truck on National Highway 149 near the Rangathali viallge. As a result, almost all the passengers sustained injuries whereas 4 became critical to be rushed to hospital for resuscitation.

Local residents and commuters undertook a rescue operation and called for police and Fire service personnel to extract the stranded passengers from the bus.

The Parjang police registered a case in this connection and investigating into. The injured ones are under treatment at the Parjang CHC.
