Digapahandi, Mar 16: In a strict enforcement action, the Transport Department has fined a truck ₹1,16,365 for violating traffic rules while heading towards Digapahandi.

The truck, travelling from Sergarh towards Digapahandi, was found without valid documents including insurance, pollution certificate, and fitness certificate. Upon checking, authorities immediately impounded the vehicle and lodged it at Patapur police station in Ganjam district.

Following verification of the documents, the Transport Department imposed a fine of ₹1,16,365.

The action highlights the department’s strict measures to ensure road safety and compliance with transport regulations in the district.
