Ganjam, May 11: At least two polling officials were critical in Ganjam on Saturday following upturn of a bus which was ferrying polling teams for the first phase election.
The polling officials were rushed to the Digapahandi Hospital for treatment.
Sources said, a private bus was leaving for the Patrapur polling booth with at least 15 polling teams on board. Meanwhile, the speeding bus upturned at Pitatali turn near the Chikiti.
On being informed, police and fire services team rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation. Following this the polling teams were managed to reach their respective polls with alternative arrangements.
