Bhubaneswar, Feb 6: The Class 10 (Matric) examination will commence on February 19, with 5,46,582 candidates registered across the state. Admit cards are now available on the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) website. Schools can download the admit cards online and distribute them to students. Any discrepancies should be reported to the board for correction. The original admit cards will reach all exam centers by next week, and headmasters will issue them to students at the centers.
To ensure fair conduct of the exams, the board has set up 3,005 exam centers, including 322 nodal centers, with direct monitoring and broadcasting during exams. A total of 37 squads have been deployed to prevent malpractices. District Education Officers (DEOs) will organize 72 additional squads, while District Collectors will form separate squads to oversee examination arrangements. The board recently conducted a virtual review with DEOs from 30 districts regarding squad formation and center preparedness.
District-wise highlights:
Ganjam: 44,392 candidates at 214 centers
Mayurbhanj: 31,806 candidates at 180 centers
Balasore: 31,080 candidates at 181 centers
Debagarh: 4,057 candidates at 32 centers (fewest in the state)
In Malkangiri, exam papers will be stored securely across 8 police stations and 2 outposts, while Kandhamal will have 7 police stations serving as nodal centers for question paper storage.
