Budding ‘queen’ Shraddha Kapoor haunting King Khan’s reign in Bollywood?

Twenty-nine years on trot, the SRK phenomenon just wowed the Indian cine buffs overwhelmingly. King of bollywood’s ‘Jawan’ run continues unchallenged. The King’s aura stands undiminished. SRK’s last action thriller ‘Jawan’ went on to become the highest Hindi grosser with a net collection of 564 cr. The SRK heights looked unconquerable.

True to the B-Town twist, a newbie queen has risen to the occasion, and seems all set to dwarf the ‘unconquerable’ SRK heights.

The All Time Blockbuster and highest Hindi grosser Jawan’s record revenue run seems to be under threat, as the B’wood’s emerging queen Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 is inching up fast to the ‘Jawan’ benchmark.  

Amar Kaushik’s comedy horror show, made in a budget of petty 60 cr, has an amazing marauding run at the box office minting big – the film grossed 539 cr nett in just 29 days.

As per trade figures, the Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi starred film has collected Rs 2.85 cr on Day 29.

Flashback Jawan 

SRK’s Jawan on day 29 could collect mere Rs 1.5cr nett in Hindi, suggest the same trade numbers. The life time collection of Jawan stood at colossal Rs 564 cr nett.

STREE2 Wows Odisha 

The sequel to 2018, which has all the elements – the chill, thrill and laugh – nuanced perfectly and balanced delicately, has wowed the cine buffs in Odisha. The trade numbers tell the love story of cinegoers.

As per trade reports, when in the opening week (week number 1), King Khan helmed Jawan netted Rs 3.07 cr in Odisha, Shraddha starred Stree 2 minted 3.25cr.

The hold of Stree 2 in Odisha zoom to prominence, as the movie minted Rs 1.55 cr in week 2, when Jawaan’s collections were Rs 1.07 cr. 

Shraddha Kapoor: Budding B’wood Queen 

Stree 2’s mega run sirens big bang entry of Shraddha Kapoor in the B’wood queen club. Recent reports suggest veteran Shakti Kapoor’s this lass has surpassed the Rs 1875 cr domestic box office benchmark. Shraddha is now only behind seniors like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor. 

The BOTTOMLINE here is all the three B-Town favs Deepika, Kareena and Katrina towered the queen’s league playing opposite to superstars like King Khan, Salman Khan, Amir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranver Singh, unlike Shraddha.
