Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: The Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna(BSKY) has become a boon for  Krishna Chandra as he was blessed with a new lease of life with free super-specialty care.

Krishna Chandra, who was almost bedridden for his brain-related ailments for years, is now doing well with the regular treatment and interventions of physical medicines provided out of the BSKY assistance.

Krishna Chandra’s family, who hails from the Aurovind Nagar residential area under the Buguda NAC limit in the Ganjam district, was living a miserable life after the only bread maker of a joint family became almost paralysed.

Being informed from the media, Krishna Chandra was impaneled under the BSKY and was provided a series of critical and expensive surgeries in SUM Ultimate Care and Care Hospital free of cost. Meanwhile, the BSKY account was renewed with an additional amount of Rs 5 lakh for his post-operative care and another Rs 10 lakh for the treatment of the women members of his family. Out of the renewed assistance, Krishna Chandra is now availing post-surgery care and physiotherapy in the SUM Ultimate Care Hospital.

With the spectacular development of Krishna Chandra’s body and mind, the family members all smile whereas his spouse Bhagyashree has lauded Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his innovative health assurance scheme, the BSKY that saved the whole family from great turmoil.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the CM and the BSKY, welfare scheme Krishna Chandra’s wife Bhagyashree said, “I am hopeful, my husband will recover very shortly and we will get our smile, happiness right back”.
