Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: Absence of regular Vice Chancellors in some state varsities has significantly disrupted academic functioning in the institutes, said Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Friday.

Expressing concern over the stunted academic growth and research, the Chancellor of state universities said, as many as 13 out of 17 universities in the state are functioning without full-time VCs.They are being managed by in-charge VCs that hinders academic and administrative activities on the campus.

All vacant positions of VCs across the state’s public universities will be filled at best within three months, the Governor asserted.
