Bhubaneswar, Sept 22: When a series of viral video clips and CCTV footage surfacing on social media, jumbling up the CID Crime Branch which is probing the Bharatpur Police case involving assault on an Army Captain and his fiancée, the sleuths might opt for polygraph tests as the most reliable and ultimate evidence.
It’s why the Crime Branch team is almost set to carry out polygraph detection of as many as five police peprsonel and the victim (Captain's fiancée), to wrap up the probe of the sensasational case that almost tarnished the image of the Commissionerate police and the Odisha police as a whole.
The CID Crime Branch sources said, a lie detector test on the five suspended cops of Bharatpur police station and the Army Major’s fiancée is essential to ascertain the scenes back and beyond the incident and the very modus operadi.
Worth mentioning, the Army Captain was allegedly manhandled and his fiancée was sexually assaulted by the Cops of Bharatpur Police in Bhubaneswar on September 14 while the duo sought the help of police to pick up some road Romeos who molested them on Chandrasekharpur-Bharatpur road in sheer darkness.
