Mumbai, July 17: Mumbai Police on Thursday received a bomb threat on Mumbai-Ahemadabad flight.
The miscreant also threatened to blow up the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, police sources said.
Follwing the threat over phone, the Navi Mumbai police registered an FIR and started a probe in this connection.
According to the sleuths, the calls were received between 2pm and 2:30pm on Wednesday at the office of the Navi Mumbai joint commissioner of police.
"The callers said a bomb had been placed on board the Mumbai-Ahmedabad flight. Another call said Mumbai international airport would be blown up at 6:30pm.With thorough checks after the alert, did not reveal anything suspicious.The suspicious mobile phone numbers from which the calls were made were identified.Further probe is underway to reach at the caller.However, nobody was captured yet", said the police.
