Lucknow, February 15: In a tragic incident, at least 10 people were killed and 19 others were injured when a Bolero carrying Maha Kumbh devotees collided with a bus on the Prayagraj-Mirzapur highway in Uttar Pradesh late at night on Friday.
The crash took place around 2am on the Mirzapur-Prayagraj highway near the Meja police station in Prayagraj
All the casualties are from Chhattisgarh, said souces.
According to the Meja Police, the vehicle that was reportedly ferrying at least 10 passengers from the Korba area for Prayagraj Maha Kumb, violently hit a passengers’ bus. The incident was suspected to be resulted for the wheel imbalance caused by the dozing driver.
The injured ones were sent to the Swaroop Rani Nehru Medical College & Hospital for treatment, informed DCP Yamunanagar Vivek Chandra Yadav.
