Puri, April 3: Blood stained body of a youth was recovered on City Road near Leprosy Colony in Odisha’s Puri district on Wednesday. The body has also cut marks on its head, neck, belly and hand.
The deceased youth has been identified as Bikram Keshari Pradhan, a resident of Baliguali village under Puri Marine police limits. Pradhan was working in the food and beverage department of a local hotel, said sources.
Pradhan's murder is suspected to be related to drug trafficking, although the exact cause behind his suspected killing remains to be determined.
Being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body and started investigation into the incident.
“The body has been sent for autopsy. Police have also started investigation into the case. The exact reason behind the murder can only be determined after further investigation”, said police.
