Rairangpur, Feb 4: President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Rairangpur for the fifth time today. During her visit, she will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several important projects in the region, aimed at boosting local development.

Her visit will begin with an arrival at the Airstrip near Dandbose, where she will land via an independent Air Force helicopter around 11:10 am. From there, she will proceed to inaugurate the newly constructed, grand Holiday Home in Mahuldihi. Afterward, she will attend the Platinum Jubilee celebrations at the SSD High School in the region, where she will also unveil the statue of Bhajabir Sunaram Soren, the first tribal minister. The ceremony will be followed by interactions with students, teachers, and staff members.

After spending some time at the school, President Murmu will visit the famous Purneshwar Mahadev Temple in the nearby area, where she will offer prayers. She will then head to her residence in Mahuldihi, where she will rest and have lunch before continuing her engagements in the afternoon.

In the afternoon, the President will visit the Rairangpur Collectorate Stadium to launch and inaugurate several new projects, including the OYT Campus, Archery Camp, improvements to the Khadakhai river embankment, the Ayush Center, and the Tribal Research Center. She will also attend a public meeting and address the local residents.

Additionally, she will lay the foundation for an assembly hall built by NTPC, a women's college hostel, a 360-bed student residence, and a maternal health center in the area.

Before concluding her visit, President Murmu will return to her residence in Mahuldihi, where she will interact with local leaders, intellectuals, and residents. In the evening, she will rest and engage in discussions with the people of the area.

On the following day, February 5, the President will visit her birthplace in Beda village, where she will participate in a memorial service for her late husband and two sons. She will also engage in discussions with students from the SLS Residential School and participate in the shooting of a documentary about the school’s construction.

At noon, she will visit the Jagannath Temple in Rairangpur to partake in the Prasad offering, followed by another round of shooting for the documentary. In the afternoon, she will depart from the Dandbose Airstrip via helicopter, headed toward Jashipur.

The visit has sparked excitement in Rairangpur, with residents anticipating significant development in areas such as healthcare, higher education, tribal welfare, tourism, sports, and infrastructure.
