Dr. Shaheen Shahid was allegedly building a female terror network.

In a development that raises a serious national security threat, a seemingly ordinary doctor from Lucknow has been arrested in a major terror probe. Dr. Shaheen Shahid, a resident of Lal Bagh, is accused of a shocking mission: establishing the first-ever Jaish women's wing for the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) on Indian soil.

This major Lucknow doctor arrest is part of a wider investigation that recently busted a massive terror module in Faridabad. The scale of the plot is alarming, as authorities seized over 2,900 kilograms of IED-making material from two rented rooms. An assault rifle was also recovered from Dr. Shahid's own car, indicating the potential for violence.

According to Delhi Police sources, Shahid was not just a sympathiser but a key operative. She was allegedly handed the command to build 'Jamaat ul-Mominaat,' the official women's wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed in India. This group is directly controlled by JeM founder Masood Azhar's sister, Sadia Azhar, in Pakistan. Sadia's husband, Yusuf Azhar, was a notorious terrorist and a mastermind of the Kandahar hijacking, who was reportedly killed in an operation last May.

Investigators claim Dr. Shahid was in close contact with multiple Pakistani terror outfits, including JeM and Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH). She was reportedly associated with Al-Falah University in Faridabad, where she worked on a project. This link is now a key part of the probe, as officials examine if the university's resources were exploited for terror funding or recruitment.

The Faridabad explosives haul and subsequent arrests, now totaling seven people, have uncovered a network planning terror activities across multiple states. Dr. Shahid was reportedly closely associated with another arrested individual, Dr. Muzammil Ganaie, a Kashmiri doctor also working at Al Falah University. The bust highlights a dangerous new tactic by JeM to use educated professionals and women to further their agenda in India.
