The mutilated body of the woman, who was dragged away by a crocodile in Brahmani River at Alapua village in Kendrapara district yesterday, was found on Tuesday

Pattamundai, Aug 13: The mutilated body of the woman, who was dragged away by a crocodile in Brahmani River at Alapua village in Kendrapara district yesterday, was found on Tuesday. The body was recovered from the river near Penthapala in the district today.

The deceased has been identified as Manjulata Bhanja.

According to reports, Bhanja was washing utensils by the river when the crocodile attacked and pulled her into the water.

In response to the increasing threat of crocodile attacks in the district, local authorities have been raising awareness among residents through street plays and public announcements via loudspeakers.
