Bhubaneswar, December 7: The Police Commissionerate of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the India-South Africa T20 match at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack, on December 9, 2025. A practice session for the players will take place on December 8, 2025.
Traffic Restrictions:
- On December 8, 2025, from 12 PM to 9 PM (practice session).
- On December 9, 2025, from 8 AM until the end of the match or crowd dispersal.
Key routes around the stadium will be restricted for security reasons, and vehicles will be diverted to alternative parking areas like Lower Baliyatra Ground for general spectators and VIPs at Upper Baliyatra Ground.
Key Route Management:
- Vehicles from Mata Matha will park at Lower Baliyatra Ground; pass-holder vehicles at Upper Baliyatra Ground.
- Vehicles coming from Howrah Motor Chhak, Mani Sahoo Chhak, and other routes will be redirected to Mahanadi Ring Road or Cantonment PS Chhak, with parking at Lower Baliyatra Ground.
- No vehicles allowed towards the Barabati Stadium from various routes except for pass holders.
Parking Information:
- VIPs: Upper Baliyatra Ground & OCA Club Parking
- General Spectators: Lower Baliyatra Ground
- OCA Members & Dignitaries: OCA Cricket Academy Ground
- TV Crew/Pass Holders: Horse Gate
Additional Restrictions:
- Movement of heavy vehicles will be prohibited on the Mahanadi and Kathajodi Ring Roads from 8 AM to 2 AM, and on December 8, from 12 PM to 10 PM on Mahanadi Ring Road.
Emergency vehicles are exempt from these restrictions.
Commuters are advised to plan alternate routes and cooperate for smooth traffic management.
