Sundargarh, Sept 2: Mystery shrouded over the death of a man after his body bearing injury marks was found lying besides the National Highway 143 in Biramitrapur area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district.
The identity of the deceased man is yet to be ascertained.
As per reports, some locals spotted the body lying besides the National Highway 143 near Lahakoti under Biramitrapur police limits this morning and alerted the police.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
Though the exact reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained, prima facie revealed that he might have been stoned to death.
A probe is underway to nab the culprits responsible for the killing, said the police.
