Balasore, Feb 9: Bodies of two youths, who had gone missing almost 5 days ago, were recovered from a quarry pit in Balasore on Friday.
The incident took place at Machua village under the Nilagiri Block limit.
Sources said, the locals of Machua spotted two bodies floating in the water of an abandoned quarry-pit and informed police.
The bodies are suspected to be of Bhabani Shankar and Manoranjan. However, it’s yet to be ascertained.
On being informed, Police seized the bodies from the spot and sent them to the Balasore hospital for autopsy.
A case has been registered in this connection and investigation is underway to identify the deceased. Primary investigation reveals it a murder case, said police.
Worth mentioning, Bhabani Shankar (22) and Manoranjan (21) of Kansa village in the district left their homes on February 5 who have never returned back so far.
