Bhubaneswar: A seven members Postal athletic team bagged seven medals including two gold, two silver and three bronze medals in the 36th All India Postal Athletic & Cycling Championship held at Porbondar, Gujarat from 1-3 October 2025.

The gold medal each was won by Ashish Kumar Patra and Chinmaya Ranjan Jena in the Long Jump and Javelin events with a distance of 6.61m and 58.36m respectively.

Dharmendra Mahanta and Ashish Kumar Patra bagged a silver medal each in the 100m and 110 hurdles clocking 11.5 sec and 18.10 sec respectively.

Veteran hammer thrower Malay Ranjan Pati won a bronze medal with a throw of 37.86m. Other two Odisha Postal athletes Gopinath Mohanty and Budhuram Singh won a bronze medal each in the 400m hurdles and Triple Jump events with 1min 45sec and 12.19m respectively.
