B.K. Mishra assumes charge as Additional General Manager of East Coast Railway

In addition to his present assignment, Mishra is serving as the Principal Financial Adviser (PFA) of the East Coast Railway, where he is responsible for the vital functions of Accounts, Finance, Budgeting and Internal Auditing.

B.K. Mishra assumes charge as Additional General Manager of East Coast Railway

Bhubaneswar, September 1: Bijaya Kumar Mishra has joined as the new Additional General Manager (AGM), East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar, said an official release.

According to an ECoR statement. Mishra, a 1991 batch Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer brings with him more than 35 years of rich and diverse experience in Railway Finance, Project Management, Train Operations and Administration. He has held several important and challenging assignments during his distinguished career in Indian Railways.

In addition to his present assignment, Mishra is serving as the Principal Financial Adviser (PFA) of the East Coast Railway, where he is responsible for the vital functions of Accounts, Finance, Budgeting and Internal Auditing.

ECoR is among the highest-earning Zones of Indian Railways.

Mishra has also served as the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Tinsukia Division of Northeast Frontier Railway, where he successfully handled the responsibilities of one of the challenging divisions of the Indian Railways. He also served as Project Finance Head of IRCON International Limited at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, overseeing major international infrastructure projects during his deputation.

Mishra holds a Postgraduate degree in Applied Geology from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, and a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He has also undergone advanced professional training in Financial Management at the European School of Business in London and Paris and Heavy Haul Railway Technology at Beijing Jiaotong University, China.

With his extensive experience in finance, railway operations, infrastructure projects and administration, Mishra is expected to make a significant contribution towards further strengthening the operational and administrative efficiency of East Coast Railway, said an ECoR release.
