Law aspirants get more time as NLU Consortium pushes deadline.

In a major relief for law aspirants across the country, including thousands in Odisha, the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially extended the deadline for CLAT 2026 Registration. This gives candidates a valuable extension to complete their applications for the prestigious law entrance exam.

The new deadline to submit the CLAT application form is now November 7, 2025, up to 11:59 PM. The decision was announced by the Consortium's Executive Council for both undergraduate (U.G.) and postgraduate (P.G.) programmes.

This extension is crucial for students who were unable to complete their applications or were facing last-minute technical issues. It provides them with extra time to fill out the form carefully and avoid any errors.

Important Dates for Aspirants

While the registration date has been moved, the CLAT 2026 exam date remains unchanged. The national-level examination will be conducted on December 7, 2025. The test will be held in a single shift, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

This exam is the single gateway for admission to 25 of India's top National Law Universities (NLUs), a key target for many Odisha law aspirants hoping to secure a seat at institutions like NLU Cuttack.

How to Apply for CLAT 2026

Candidates who have not yet applied can use this extension by following these simple steps:

- Upload all necessary documents, such as your photograph and signature, as per the specifications.

Aspirants are advised to use this extra time wisely and not wait until the last minute to submit their applications.
