BJP govt’s first cabinet decides to open all gates of Jagannath temple

Bhubaneswar, June 12: The first cabinet meeting of new BJP government chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today decided to open all four entrance gates of Puri Jagannath Temple tomorrow.

While lions’ gate was remained open for the devotees, three other gates were closed in the wake of Covid pandemic.

 All four entrance gates of Puri Jagannath Temple will be opened tomorrow in the presence of all Ministers, said Majhi. 

Besides, a corpus fund of Rs 500-crore for the Jagannath temple has been approved by the cabinet.

The BJP government would formulate a policy for farmers within 100 days to increase the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy to Rs 3,100 crore per quintal. 

The cabinet also decided to implement Subhadra Yojana in 100 days.  Under the scheme, women will get cash vouchers of Rs 50,000 each.
