Bhubaneswar, Aug 9: Ahead of the Odisha Assembly polls scheduled next year, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) headed by Naveen Patnaik has started solving issues of people and reviewing various developmental works undergoing across the state on war foot basis.
The BJD is on a spree announcing schemes taking the opinion of people at the grassroots level.
The party has further planned to engage its student, youth, and women wings at district levels to strengthen the organization.
The three wings of the party will be entrusted with the responsibility of reaching voters with successful schemes and pro-people initiatives of the government led by Naveen Patnaik during September, said party sources.
The state-level leaders will hold executive meetings with the district-level leaders of the three wings to train them on how to convince people in support of BJD and highlight the government's plans and programs. Besides, the veteran leaders have been entrusted to resolve infighting among leaders at the district and block levels.
Similarly, the party will expedite social media campaigns to promote government initiatives.
Later, the party will commence its flagship Jana Sampark Yatra on October 2.
