Different state-level issues and restructuring of the party organisation were discussed in the key meeting headed by chairman of the coordination committee and BJD Vice President Debi Prasad Mishra.
The new coordination committee formed by BJD President Naveen Patnaik discussed different state level issues. BJD is always committed for the development of Odisha. We also discussed on the party organisation and ways to strengthen the party. The recommendations will be discussed with President Naveen Patnaik for approval, said Mishra after the meeting.
Notably, after former Rajya Sabha MP Mamata Mahanta joined the BJP on August 1, a day after resigning from the BJD, some BJP leaders are claiming that some other BJD members are contacting them to join the BJP in the coming days.
After joining the BJP, Mamata Mohanta has openly criticised the BJD functioning and its top leadership.
