Bhubaneswar, March 2: With announcement of alluring packages for voters of all walks of life, aspirants are thronging Naveen Niwas with supporters, the official residence of Odisha CM and BJD supremo, Naveen Patnaik to thank him. However, political analysits believe it a lobby for party ticket and show of organisational skill.
The Naveen Niwas, which is usually closed even for sitting party MLAs, witnessed huge crowd on Friday morning. Aska MLA Manjula Swain first reached the Chief Minsiter's residence with son Nachiketa and supporters. Nachiketa said they have come to thank Naveen Patnaik and 5T chairman V K Pandian for declaring Aska as municipality. However, media reports claimed that Manjulata had come to lobby party ticket for son Nachiketa.
Similarly, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Councillor, Amaresh Jena reached Naveen Niwas along with senior citizens who is an aspirant for Bhubaneswar Central (madhya) assembly constituency.
Begunia MLA Rajendra Sahoo, Niali MLA Dr Pramod Mallick, Chhatrapur MLA Subash Behera and Barchana MLA Amar Prasad Satpathy were also spotted in the premises of the CM's residence along with hundreds of supporters.
