With his powerful boundaries and sixes, game-changing innings, left-arm quick spin and unbelievable athleticism as a fielder, he often helped Team India pull surprise wins from the jaws of defeat. He was the vital cog in Team India's ICC T20 World Cup 2007 and ODI World Cup 2011.
With MS Dhoni, he was the backbone of Team India's middle order for more than a decade. He and Dhoni were the star finishers for India in white-ball games for years.
After being adjudged as the Player of the Tournament in 2011 ODI World Cup, he was diagnosed with cancer. But he braved the fatal disease and played for India a couple of years more.
No prizes for guessing the player. Because cricket lovers across the globe are aware of Yuvraj Singh's immense contributions to Indian cricket. But his fans waited for years a biopic on Yuvraj.
Because his contemporary MS Dhoni's biopic 'MS Dhoni- The Untold Story' was a super duper hit as a film and won high acclaims.
However, the wait seems to be over. Because an upcoming biographical movie will chronicle the inspiring journey of Yuvraj, the makers announced Tuesday. The biopic on Yuvi is expected to highlight his resilience, triumph, and passion for cricket.
Though the biopic is yet to be titled, but as per announcement it will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and co-produced by Ravi Bhagchandka. The same team won praises for their excellent efforts earlier 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams'. They are also involved in the production of 'Sitaare Zameen Par', which stars Aamir Khan.
It can be recalled that Kumar has been widely acclaimed for his previous films such - 'Drishyam 2'', 'Animal', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', 'Kabir Singh' and ''Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior'.
